Automatic Waste Segregator

Automatic Waste Segregator

This project presents an IoT-based automatic waste segregation system that categorizes household waste into wet, dry, and metallic types using sensors. Infrared, moisture, and metal sensors detect the type of waste, while ultrasonic sensors monitor bin levels. Controlled by a PIC microcontroller, the system uses motors to direct waste into corresponding sub-bins. The status of each bin is displayed in real-time via the ThingSpeak platform. Designed for urban environments, this compact, low-cost device aims to improve hygiene, reduce ragpicker involvement, and streamline recycling processes at the source.
